59% Of Large-Employer Health Plans Covered Telemedicine In 2016; Substantial Increase Over 2015
About 59% of large employer-sponsored health plans in 2016 cover telemedicine services, up from 30% of plans in 2015. About 37% of large employers in 2016 are covering mobile wellness services, and 31% are covering wearables and apps to monitor activity. In 2015, 30% of employers covered mobile wellness services and 24% covered wearables and apps.
