SSA Proposes Realignment Of Pain-Related Adult & Child Disability Claims Evaluation
On December 17, 2018, the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) released a proposed rule to align consideration of pain in adult and child disability claims with current medicine and health care procedures for those involved in two programs that provide benefits based on disability: the Social Security disability insurance (SSDI) program and the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program. Public comments are due by February 15, 2019.
