Southwest Solutions To Pilot BasicNeeds Mental Health Recovery Model In Detroit

In partnership with BasicNeeds US (BNUS), Southwest Solutions, a behavioral health provider organization in Detroit, Michigan, is piloting the BasicNeeds Model for Mental Health and Development (BasicNeeds). In June 2016, Southwest Solutions received a three-month grant from the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority (DMWHA) to work with BNUS to begin adapting the BasicNeeds model to the United States. DWMHA later awarded Southwest Solutions funding for the first full year of the BasicNeeds pilot, from October 2016 through September 2017.
