Social Security Administration Proposes Revisions To Continuing Disability Reviews
On November 18, 2019, the Social Security Administration (SSA) issued a proposed rule that, if finalized, will change the frequency of continuing disability reviews (CDRs). CDRs are periodic reviews of a recipient’s eligibility for Social Security disability benefit continuation. Currently, the SSA places disability beneficiaries into one of three review categories based on the likelihood that the impairment causing them to be unable to work or engage in other gainful activities will be resolved.
