SAMHSA Freezes NREPP Database Of Addiction & Mental Health Programs, Launches New Policy Lab
On January 11, 2018, the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announced it was freezing submissions to the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP) database; at the same time SAMHSA said it was launching a new approach to disseminating evidence-based practices (EBPs). The new approach, a Policy Lab, was one of the provisions of the 21st Century Cures Act that was signed into law in December 2016.
