Addiction treatment centers are not associated with a loss of residential property value for neighboring property owners in Seattle, Washington. Although some models have estimated that the average property values are 3.4% to 4.6% lower when an addiction treatment center is nearby, those models fail to account for the fact that addiction treatment centers tend to locate in areas with property values already about 2.2% lower than average.
