Ramsey County, Minnesota Funds Permanent Supportive Housing Program For People With Chronic Homelessness
Ramsey County, Minnesota is now an official funder for the Redirecting Users of Shelter to Housing (RUSH) program, a permanent supportive housing program for people with chronic homelessness. Starting January 1, 2019, the county is providing $200,000 per year for a two-year contract with Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, and RADIAS Health. The county funding will be used to fund two full-time outreach workers. The program goal is to move frequent users of emergency shelters into stable housing, reduce arrests, and reduce emergency room use.
