Philadelphia-Based JEVS Expands ‘Independence Network’ For People With Disabilities To Collingswood, New Jersey
Philadelphia-based JEVS Human Services (JEVS) is in the process of expanding its "Philadelphia Independence Network" (PIN) for people with disabilities to the Camden County, New Jersey suburb of Collingswood. The PIN offers young adults with disabilities a supported independent living environment while providing the ability to learn, gain life experience, and achieve life goals. Members live in individual or shared apartments, while JEVS staff offers customized supports for each resident as needed. The new community will be functional by the early summer of 2018, with an initial population of 6 to 10 residents.
