Pennsylvania To Launch Regional Health Collaboratives To Protect Residents In Long-Term Care Facilities From COVID-19
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) is launching six regional health collaboratives intended to help protect long-term care residents from contracting coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). To launch the collaboratives, DHS will solicit proposals for each region, and intends to contract with at least one collaborative per region. However, as of June 22, 2020, DHS had not released the solicitation. The facilities covered include assisted living residences, long-term care facilities, and personal care homes.
The collaboratives were enacted in Pennsylvania House Bill 2510 of 2020, which became law on May 29, 2020, and went into effect immediately . . .
