Pennsylvania Releases 3-Step Plan To Safely Reopen Long-Term Care Facilities
On June 26, 2020, the Wolf Administration issued a three-step plan to allow long-term care facilities to resume activities, visitation, and other events for residents during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The plan applies to nursing homes and personal care homes, assisted living residences, and private intermediate care facilities. It replaces previous guidance issued for long-term care facilities that sustained limitations for 28 days after the facility’s county entered the “green phase” in the Governor’s Process to Reopen Pennsylvania.
