Pennsylvania Enacts New Licensure Requirements For Medicaid Child Behavioral Health Services
On October 19, 2019, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) published new licensing regulations for provider organizations delivering intensive behavioral health services (IBHS) for children, youth, and young adults under 21 years of age with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs. IBHS is defined as individual services, applied behavior analysis (ABA) services, and group services. All organizations that provide child and young adult behavioral health services must obtain a license to deliver the services included in the IBHS definition, whether or not the organization participates in Medicaid.
