16% Of Retirees ‘Very Confident’ They Can Afford Long-Term Care
About 16% of retirees say they're "very confident" they can afford long-term care during retirement. About 34% of retirees are "somewhat confident" they can afford long-term care during retirement. This is a 4% overall reduction from 2017 confidence levels.
These findings were reported in "2018 Retirement Confidence Survey," by the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) in partnership with Greenwald & Associates. The Retirement Confidence Survey (RCS) is a long-running survey that measures worker and retiree confidence about retirement.
