Oklahoma Medicaid Expands ‘Money Follows The Person’ Program To Youth Ages 16 To 18
On June 29, 2017, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority Board approved the proposed rules to implement an extension of the state’s ‘Money Follows the Person’ (MFP) demonstration program to include youths aged 16 to 18 who have been housed in a psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) for 90 or more days. The Governor has 45 days to approve or disapprove the proposed rule change. The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse staff will analyze SoonerCare data (the state’s Medicaid program) to identify eligible youth.
