Oklahoma Expands Virtual Pharmacist Program, Uses AI To Generate Treatment Plans
On October 23, 2019, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) announced statewide expansion of a pilot Medicaid virtual pharmacist program facilitated by the Arine Virtual Pharmacist platform. Clinicians from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy will use the platform to provide services to members across all counties in Oklahoma. The platform analyzes social, medical, and behavioral data on an ongoing basis to identify health needs, barriers to care, and dangerous gaps in care.
