Oklahoma Had The Greatest Increase In Foster Care Beds In The Nation Over The Past Five Years
Between 2012 and 2017, Oklahoma had the greatest increase in foster care beds in the nation, topping the next highest state by nearly 30%. Foster care beds include the number of available beds in non-relative foster homes. The top five states with the greatest increase in foster care beds between 2012 and 2017 included Georgia, Florida, New York, and Mississippi.
