Ohio DJFS Contracts With Child & Family Health Collaborative To Launch Program For Youth Aging Out Of Foster Care
On February 1, 2018, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS and the Child and Family Health Collaborative of Ohio LLC (Collaborative) launched “Bridges,” a new program to provide housing and supportive services to young adults statewide who age out of foster care. Bridges will be available to the approximately 3,000 young adults ages 18 to 21 in Ohio who aged out of foster care. In addition to housing, the program provides a package of services to help the participants prepare for college or a career, and to support healthy living.
