On January 8, 2020, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) announced that it will expand its Medicaid value-based payment (VBP) strategy with new medical home incentives, accountable care organizations (ACOs), and new programs. Plans for the expansion are not finalized, and the state accepted comments through February 19, 2020.
