New York To Implement Managed Care For People Receiving I/DD Services
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is preparing to implement specialized managed care plans in 2019 for people receiving intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD) services. The plans, called provider organization-led specialized I/DD plans (SIP-PL), will coordinate and deliver all of an individual’s services, including OPWDD-waiver funded long-term services and supports (LTSS), physical health care, behavioral health, and medication management.
