New York Medicaid To Launch Health Homes For People With Developmental Disabilities
The New York Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) in conjunction with the New York Department of Health (DOH) plans to launch care coordination organization health homes (CCO/HHs) for consumers with developmental disabilities. The CCO/HHs will be responsible for coordinating physical health, behavioral health, long-term services and supports. The state believes that the CCO/HHs will serve as a building block to moving intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD) services to managed care in the future.
