New York Moving Medicaid Health Home Program To Managed Care
In conjunction with New York Medicaid’s Behavioral Health Redesign to move behavioral health services to managed care, the state is also changing how health home services are reimbursed. Starting January 1, 2016, health home provider organizations will move from directly billing the state for health home services to billing their enrollees’ Medicaid managed care behavioral health organizations (MCOs). Additionally, the state intends to change the health home rate structure to align with the type of MCO providing behavioral health services for the enrollee.
