New Jersey Issues RFP For A Health Benefits Coordinator For Medicaid Managed Care
On December 11, 2015, the New Jersey Purchasing Bureau released a request for proposals (RFP 2016-X-24130) for the Department of Human Services (DHS) seeking a vendor to provide Medicaid health benefits coordination services for the Medicaid managed care program. The Medicaid health benefits coordinator is responsible for screening and processing applications, determining eligibility for NJ FamilyCare; providing customer call center operations; developing and collecting premiums; and providing marketing, outreach, and education. The state projects that there will be close to 1.7 million Medicaid enrollees in New Jersey in January 2016.
