New Jersey Audit Finds Deficiencies In IDD Residential Program Operations
An audit in New Jersey found deficiencies in employee background checks, inspections, and supported living programs in residential programs operated by the Department of Human Services (DHS) for people with intellectual and developmental disability (IDD). These deficiencies led to the hiring of personnel with criminal history, incomplete inspections, and potential unlicensed supported living programs.
