New Hampshire DCYF Launches Inspections Of Private Child-Health Organizations Visitation Oversight

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division for Children Youth and Families (DCYF) is launching “structured and consistent” inspections of its 13 contracted private child-health support provider organizations to ensure that each is providing adequate oversight of supervised visitation services for children in foster care. The inspections were recommended by DHHS on May 12, 2017, in response to an incident on April 28, 2017, in which a mother participating in supervised visitation abducted her two-year-old child.
