New Colorado Law Requires Performance Audits Of Community-Centered I/DD Boards
On August 10, 2016, a new Colorado law went into effect to require state performance audits every five years of the state’s 20 non-profit community-centered boards (CCBs) that coordinate community-based long-term services and supports (LTSS) for state residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The law is a result of the passage of SB 16-038, which requires the CCBs to make financial disclosures and participate in state audits.
