Nevada Rebidding Medicaid Managed Care Contracts, Adding Enrollment For Children In Foster Care

Nevada Medicaid is rebidding its managed care organization (MCO) contracts to serve urban Clark and Washoe counties. The current contracts, held by Health Plan of Nevada and Amerigroup, expire June 30, 2017.

Within the current managed care geographic area, and in the new contracts, managed care enrollment is mandatory for non-disabled adults ages 19 to 64 in the Medicaid expansion population, as well as parents and caretakers ages 19 to 64 who meet income eligibility requirements. Beneficiaries who are aged, blind, or disabled and eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are excluded from managed care enrollment, as are individuals . . .
