Nebraska Medicaid To Cover Behavioral Modification Services For Children With Autism
On April 11, 2016, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Service (DHHS) announced that the state Medicaid program received federal approval to cover behavioral modification services to support the needs children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental services and their families. DHHS submitted a Medicaid state plan amendment (SPA) in December 2015 to cover the services through its Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) program.
