Nearly A Third Of U.S. White-Collar Workers Have A Disability
Nearly one-third of college-educated white collar workers in the United States have a health condition that meets the federal definition of a disability. This figure for disability prevalence is much higher than previously thought. According to the U.S. federal definition, a disability is "any person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities; has a record of such impairment; or is regarded as having such an impairment." This impairment classification includes mental health and chronic conditions.
