MRI Brain Scans Predict Probability Of Depression Remission With CBT Or Antidepressants
MRI brain scans predicted the probability of depression remission among adults ages 18 to 65 following first-line treatment with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or with antidepressants. The imaging shows a biomarker in brain structure that identifies the outcomes of remission and treatment failure to these interventions.
The imaging was conducted among 122 people participating in the Prediction of Remission to Individual and Combined Treatments (PReDICT) study.
