In the Missouri budget for 2019-2020, the state cut funding for new developmental disability (DD) Medicaid waivers by 73%. During the previous fiscal year (2018-2019), $31.4 million was allocated to fund new DD waiver slots. For fiscal year 2019-2020, only $8.5 million in funding was allocated for new DD waivers; the funding is sufficient for about 440 waiver slots.
