Milwaukee County, Wisconsin To Privatize Mental Health Complex
On July 15, 2015, the Behavioral Health Division (BHD) of the Milwaukee County, Wisconsin government released a request for proposals (RFP # 2015-RFP-BHD-1000) seeking psychiatric emergency department, observation, and inpatient care services for the county’s public behavioral health system. The acute inpatient services sought are currently delivered by the county-run Milwaukee Mental Health Complex facility, which the county intends to close. Proposals are due by November 16, 2015. BHD anticipates making recommendations to the Mental Health Board by April 2016.
