Medication Adherence 96% For Consumers At Mental Health Facilities With Co-Located Pharmacies
Consumers with mental health disorders have a 96% medication adherence rate when they receive services at community mental health centers (CMHCs) with a co-located pharmacy. The rate was 82% for consumers with mental health disorders who filled prescriptions at community-based pharmacies.
Compared to consumers who filled their psychotropic prescriptions at a community pharmacy, consumers who filled prescriptions at the CMHC on-site pharmacy had lower hospitalization rates, at 17 per 1,000 member months compared to 20 per 1,000 member months.
