Medicare Eliminates Need For PACE Plans To Request Waivers
On August 2, 2019, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) implemented a rule to update and modernize the Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), which includes the elimination of waivers required for specific PACE provisions. The rule also revises and updates the requirements for the PACE program under Medicare and Medicaid to provide greater operational flexibility and codify existing practices of interdisciplinary teams (IDTs).
