On March 21, 2017, Medicare released an interim final rule delaying expansion and implementation of the bundled payment programs for cardiac care and for joint replacements. The cardiac care model was announced in late 2016; it created bundles for cardiac rehabilitation, heart attack, or undergo heart surgery.
