On June 3, 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced risk adjustments to the Medicare accountable care organization (ACO) Track 1+ and the Next Generation ACO models to account for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic public health emergency (PHE).
