Medicaid Managed Care Insurance Plans Score Higher than Commercial Health Insurance Plans In Customer Satisfaction
Medicaid managed care members are more satisfied with their coverage than traditional, commercial health plan members, according to a recent J.D. Power survey. Members of Medicaid managed care plans reported overall satisfaction levels about 10% higher than reported by commercially insured consumers, with overall Medicaid plan satisfaction at 784 points and commercial plan satisfaction at 706 points. Choice of provider organization and clinical professionals were a key factor in higher Medicaid consumer satisfaction.
