Starting November 1, 2015, the Massachusetts Medicaid program, MassHealth, will reimburse home health provider organizations for remote patient monitoring systems and services. The state will pay up to $50 for installation and will pay up to $10 for a daily monitoring rate. The proposal defines remote patient monitoring as a service that allows home health provider organizations to monitor a consumer health status remotely via a system of devices installed at the consumer’s home.
