Maine Puts Utilization Management Services For Medicaid & Non-Medicaid Behavioral Health Services Out To Bid
On June 23, 2016, the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) released a request for proposal (RFP) seeking an administrative services organization (ASO) for Medicaid behavioral health services for adults and children; and non-Medicaid behavioral health services for adults with serious mental illness. The ASO role is limited—providing utilization management and review, quality management, improvement activities, and reporting, including quarterly reports required by the court as part of the Bates Consent Decree.
