Kansas To Launch School Mental Health Pilot Program

On April 17, 2018, Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer signed the state’s school funding bill, which includes a provision to launch a pilot school mental health program in six school districts. The goal is to expand mental health services for students. The bill provides funding of $10 million for the pilot, in which schools will partner with community mental health centers (CMHCs) to provide services.
