Indiana Medicaid To Reimburse For Short-Term IMD Services
On January 1, 2020, Indiana implemented a Medicaid waiver amendment that will allow the state to receive reimbursement for short-term services for people age 19 to 64 with serious mental illness (SMI) who are treated at privately run institutions for mental disease (IMD). The waiver excludes treatment provided at Indiana's six state-operated psychiatric hospitals.
