Humana & Private Equity Firm To Launch Senior Primary Care Centers
On February 3, 2020, Humana Inc. and private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS) announced plans for a joint venture to launch free-standing primary care centers for Medicare beneficiaries and other older adults. The joint venture will be managed by Humana’s wholly-owned, primary care subsidiary, Partners in Primary Care, and operated under the Partners in Primary Care brand.
