HHS Releases Draft Strategy To Reduce Health IT Burden On Clinical Professionals
The federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) proposed recommendations to help reduce the health information technology (health IT) burden on clinical professionals. The key focus is on reducing the effort and time needed to record health information in an electronic health record (EHR) and reducing the effort and time needed to meet regulatory reporting requirements for clinical professionals, hospitals, and health care provider organizations. The overall goal is to improve the functionality and intuitiveness of EHRs.
