Health Care Quality Measure Data Shows Ongoing Racial Disparity In Specialty Addiction Treatment

Between 2005 and 2011, health care quality measure data indicates an ongoing racial disparity in the percentage of people age 12 and older who completed specialty addiction treatment, with minorities who entered treatment significantly less likely than non-Hispanic whites to complete treatment. Additionally, people in poor households generally experienced less access and poorer quality health care.
