Georgia Files Exit Plan For 2005 Kenny A. Child Welfare Consent Decree
The Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) began implementing the final changes to the state’s child welfare system to exit the 2005 Kenny A. Consent Decree. The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) and the plaintiffs, Children’s Rights, filed a modified Consent Decree and Exit Plan on November 8, 2016, and it was approved on December 5, 2016 by Thomas W.
