Franklin County, Ohio DD Board Preparing To Transition Several Functions To ARC Industries

The Franklin County, Ohio, Board of Developmental Disabilities (DD) is preparing to transition all of its job training, workshop employment, and transportation services to non-profit ARC Industries in January 2019. Current discussions are also taking place regarding the possibility of transitioning transportation services as well. The move will put the county board in compliance with a federal Medicaid rule requiring conflict-free case management. Currently the Franklin County Board bills the state for Medicaid waiver funding, which provides funding for staff, buildings, etc. In January, 2019, ARC Industries will bill the state directly for the Medicaid waiver funding.
