Florida iBudget Program Changes Qualification Requirements For Waiver Support Coordination Organizations
On July 1, 2020, the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) began implementing changes to the iBudget program for Medicaid home-and community-based service (HCBS) budgets for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The changes are due to Senate Bill 82 (SB 82), which was signed into law on June 24, 2020. A key change will require waiver support coordinators working with iBudget beneficiaries to be employed by “qualified organizations” by July 1, 2021.
