FEGS Budget Crisis Changes Landscape Of New York Mental Health Service Delivery
In mid-January 2015, non-profit Federal Employment Guidance Service (FEGS) Health and Human Services in New York City announced it was closing due to a financial crisis. The $227 million organization held contracts with the New York Office of Mental Health (OMH); the New York Department of Health; the New York City Human Resources Administration, Department of Social Services; the New York City Department of Education, and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
