Feds Plan To Help States Eliminate Use Of Solitary Confinement For Juveniles
The federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is planning to provide technical assistance to states to help eliminate the use of solitary confinement for juveniles, and plans to support the Stop Solitary for Kids campaign that launched in April 2016. The campaign is a joint effort by the Center for Children’s Law and Policy, the Center for Juvenile Justice Reform, the Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators, and the Justice Policy Institute.
