If the federal Department of Labor (DOL) finalizes its proposed update to the overtime exemption of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the increased cost to provider organizations delivering support services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is estimated at $266,000 to $474,000 per organization.
