Digital Health Companies Raised $13 Billion In 2018, Up 58% Over 2017
Digital health companies raised $13 billion in 2018, about 58% more than the $8.2 billion raised in 2017. The $13 billion accounts for venture capital funding, debt, and public market financing. Venture capital funding, including private equity and corporate venture capital accounted for $9.5 billion of the total $13 billion; the $9.5 billion was raised through 698 deals, up 32% over 2017. The previous year $7.2 billion was raised in 778 deals.
