The State of Delaware is preparing to improve state-funded behavioral health services by creating a Behavioral Health Consortium and an Addiction Action Committee. The consortium and the committee will help create a statewide integrated plan to address addiction and mental illness and foster a coordinated behavioral health system. The initiative was proposed in Governor John Carney’s January 2017, “Action Plan For Delaware.” The formation of the consortium is proposed in Delaware Senate Bill 111, which was introduced on June 14, 2017.
